Infusion Center
Hospital-grade infusion therapy. Without the hospital.
Every infusion is administered by a registered nurse using calibrated infusion pumps, with your rheumatologist on-site and available. The same medications, the same standards, the same monitoring — in a private practice setting where you're not sharing a room with thirty other patients.
Your infusion, coordinated with your care
Prior authorizations, insurance coordination, and medication ordering all happen within the same practice that prescribes your treatment. No phone tag between your doctor's office and a separate infusion facility. As a clinical research site, we stay current with the latest infusion protocols and biologic therapies — that knowledge informs how we run our infusion center.
Your infusion happens in the same practice where you receive your rheumatologic care. The nurse administering your medication works directly with your physician. If you need to be seen the same day as your infusion, that's often possible — one visit instead of two.

What to expect
Infusion appointments typically run 30 minutes to two hours depending on your medication and protocol. Here's what happens when you arrive.
-
1
Check in
You'll check in at the front desk and we'll confirm your medication and any pre-infusion requirements are in order.
-
2
Meet your nurse
Our infusion nurse will greet you, review your current symptoms, and walk you back to the infusion area.
-
3
Get comfortable
You'll settle into one of our heated infusion chairs. Bring a book, your phone, or just relax — we have television available as well.
-
4
IV placement and infusion
Your nurse places the IV and starts your medication using a calibrated infusion pump. Infusion times range from 15 minutes to over an hour depending on the drug and your protocol. You're monitored throughout.
-
5
Wrap up and schedule
Once your infusion is complete and you're cleared, you can schedule your next appointment on the way out — or call later if you prefer.
